Time to start our SIXTH annual FANTASY AUTO RACING TEAMS contest aka the DEEP SIX !! Wink

Rules and Requirements:

1. Pick a name for your team.

2. Pick SIX of your favorite drivers - 5 from the current IndyCar grid and one to be designated as a "tester" -> the test driver should be your favorite driver from either Atlantics or GP2 or IndyLights whom you would like to see in IndyCar one day.

NOTE: At least one of the five primary drivers must be an ex-ChampCar driver !!! -> from this pool:

a/ Graham Rahal
b/ Justin Wilson
c/ Robert Doornbos
d/ Alex Tagliani
e/ Will Power
f/ Paul Tracy
g/ Jan Heylen
h/ Bruno Junqueira
i/ Nelson Philippe

3. For added excitement, pick your favorite "Pit Babe" to be your spokesperson or "press secretary" -> not really required but it surely would add "color" when posting throughout the season.

4. SCORING: the points will be "hard-earned" (unlike the current system used in IndyCar) -> whichever of the six drivers will finish in top six "paying" positions in each of their respective races will score (as in F1 few years back) 9 points for win, 6 points for second, 4 points for third, then 3, 2, and 1 point for the last "paying" positions - the test driver's points will be added after each of their respective races in one of the three series they're from.

5. SUBSTITUTIONS: the only time a driver may be changed is should he for some reason not enter a given race... and should the driver get changed by the team and you fail to aknowledge it then whatever the sub is will score for you... should one change a driver for some other construed reason then the entry will be classified as "secondary" and appear in Italics and with an asterisk.

6. ENTRY DEADLINE: this contest is merely for our fun - so there isn't any "deadline" - one can enter anytime during the season but all entries after the Brazil race will have an asterisk.

There really is no rush in getting the entries together - the IndyCar season doesn't start until March with Rio and we still do not know some of the starters... but the GP2 series is already rolling and whomever will have one of their drivers picked should register the team early.

BTW, to further add fun to our little "game" those with photoshop capability may want to paint/create their own team's cars in their favorite color schemes and with their favorite wouldbe sponsors, or feel free to use the multum of cars from => http://www.champcarfan.com/dp01/ and http://www.champcarfan.com/dallara/mini/ Idea
